Emily Friedberg is the new Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for Vantage Data Centers.
Friedberg joins the Vantage leadership team with 24 years of commercial and technology experience.

Vantage Data Centers, a premier global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, has announced the appointment of Emily Friedberg as the company’s inaugural Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO). With nearly 25 years of experience, Friedberg will oversee development and engineering, technology and systems, cybersecurity, and sustainability efforts, leveraging her extensive background to drive high-value results and growth at Vantage.
Friedberg’s career spans global technology giants and venture-backed startups. Before joining Vantage, she served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SkySafe, where she managed sales, marketing, product, and operations teams for the drone software-as-a-service company. Her previous role at Fastly as Global Vice President of Channel and Partnerships further showcased her expertise in cloud computing and technology infrastructure. Friedberg was also a founding executive at Lagrange Systems (now WebScale), where she played a key role in securing $8 million in Series A funding and launching the company’s channel program.
In her new role, Friedberg will be instrumental in leading Vantage’s technological innovation and sustainability strategies. Her responsibilities include scouting, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to align with the company’s business model and market needs. She will also ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical guidelines, driving the integration of technology innovation into Vantage’s products and services.
Jeff Tench, Vantage’s Executive Vice President for North America and APAC, expressed enthusiasm about Friedberg’s appointment, stating, “As part of Vantage’s global expansion, we have strengthened our leadership team with new C-level positions, including our CISO and now our CTIO. Friedberg will be based at Vantage’s corporate headquarters in Denver and will report directly to Tench.
